TOPIK Daily Practice #1: 4 Questions
Practice for TOPIK I (levels 1–2) with four new questions: vocabulary, grammar, reading, and one listening-style item. Tap an answer to check it right away. You will see whether you are right, which answer is correct, and a short explanation.
The questions are in Korean only, just like the real test. The explanations are in English, so you can use the language menu to read them in your own language.

The first sentence says it is very cold (많이 추워요), so the person put on something warm. The verb is 입다, which is used for clothes you put on your body, and 두꺼운 means “thick.” Only a coat (코트) fits. A hat (모자) and a mask (마스크) go with 쓰다, and dress shoes (구두) go with 신다.

-(으)니까 gives a reason and can be followed by a request or command such as -(으)세요: “It is raining, so take an umbrella with you.” -지만 means “but,” -고 simply links actions (“and”), and -(으)면서 means “while doing” and needs the same subject in both parts. Tip: -아서/어서 also gives a reason, but it cannot be used before a command like -(으)세요.

The writer goes to a Korean language academy on Saturday (토요일에는 한국어 학원에 갑니다), so the writer learns Korean on Saturday (배웁니다). Option 1 is wrong because the writer works only from Monday to Friday (월요일부터 금요일까지). Option 2 is wrong because the writer rests at home on Sunday (집에서 쉽니다). Option 3 is wrong because the writer works in a factory (공장) and studies Korean rather than teaching it (가르치다).

Answer: ① 우체국
The man wants to send a letter to Vietnam (편지를 베트남에 보내고 싶어요), and the clerk asks him to put it on the scale to check the weight (무게). You send letters and parcels at a post office (우체국). A bank is 은행, a pharmacy is 약국, and a bookstore is 서점.
